Mary Cummins, Animal Advocates, Real Estate Appraiser. Ed Boks, Edward Boks, lawsuit, Los Angeles, Mary Cummins. This post is to clear up some misconceptions about my lawsuit against the City of emotional development Los Angeles and Ed Boks. Rick Orlov asked me for a comment for his article but my lawyer told me not to comment. I signed no confidentiality clause even though Ed Boks wanted me to sign one. I can share the settlement agreement. It is not confidential. l received 60% of $130,000 plus an award from the define Department. I will reply to all of development these allegations in this article.

My reply will be in blue. “$130,000 to settle sex harassment suit against mechanical solidarity, outgoing Animal Services director. By Rick Orlov, Staff Writer. Posted: 05/01/2009 07:49:35 PM PDT. Animal Services Director Ed Boks, seen here in a March 27 file photo, is leaving the post amid controversy. (Tina Burch/Staff Photographer) In one of the last official actions involving departing Animal Services Director Ed Boks, the City Council on Friday approved paying $130,000 to settle a sexual harassment suit filed by emotional development a former worker. Mary Cumins-Cobb, who worked briefly as an Web master for the city agency, claimed that Boks subjected her to Hypertension: The Silent harassment that included lewd comments, inappropriate touching and development showing up drunk on her doorstep to ask her for a date, according to court documents. l offered the City a free website from 2001 to 2005. They never accepted my offer. January 2006 soon after Boks became the Hypertension: Essay new GM the Mayor’s office told me to childrens emotional meet with him. l had no idea why l was meeting with him.

Boks told me that the Mayor’s office said l offered a free new website. He told me to nurture theory create a new website which l did as a volunteer. Within five minutes of meeting him Boks was already talking about inappropriate things which l ignored. After only a week he asked me out to dinner even though he had a girlfriend. I ignored his offer hoping he’d get the hint. l was living with my boyfriend which I made sure to mention frequently. She claimed she was fired for rejecting his advances and that she also lost her job with a private animal foundation because of Boks. The settlement of the childrens emotional Los Angeles Superior Court suit, filed in nurture theory 2007, now goes to Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for approval. l was fired because l rejected his advances. I was also fired because Boks blamed me for the blogs. Boks ordered me to set up the childrens development blogs. l told him he should ignore the haters.

That’s the Making State College Friendly Essay same advice l gave to the two previous GMs. He insisted so l set up his blog and childrens emotional development another blog for him. l did not post on his blog. l in fact told him many times not to post what he emailed me yet he did. l did not make all the posts on the other blog. l still have a copy of that blog with the identities of everyone who posted on iron curtain, it. Boks wrote some of the posts, so did people who worked in emotional the Department besides others. Boks approved all of the posts. When the blogs became a heated issue, Jimmy Blackman from the Mayor’s office told Boks to shut it down. Boks never told me that. Mechanical Vs Organic Solidarity? He continued to write the blogs and encourage people to post on childrens development, it. l was fired because of the scandal the blogs caused. l was the scapegoat. Mechanical Vs Organic Solidarity? In fact after I was fired Boks then blamed me for all the mistakes he made, even mistakes he made after l was fired.

PDF: Complaint filed against Los Angeles Animal Services General Manager Ed Boks by Mary K. Cummins-Cobb. Aides said he would have no comment. Councilman Tony Cardenas, who has criticized Boks for his handling of the department, said he hoped the general manager’s recent resignation and the settlement of the suit will enable the city to childrens emotional move forward. “These issues have become a distraction within Animal Services,” Cardenas said. “I hope this will allow the nurture theory department to refocus its goals and reinvest in development its commitment toward becoming a no-kill city,” Cardenas said. Boks said he was advised by curtain the City Attorney’s Office to not comment on childrens, the case. Cummins-Cobb said she was prohibited from discussing the suit or the settlement.

My lawyer told me not to comment for this article. l regret not commenting because there are so many errors. Rick Orlov is solidarity, not to blame for the errors. Rick is development, a very nice guy and a good writer even though he misspelled my name in the first paragraph. In court documents, Cummins-Cobb said she began volunteering with the nurture theory Animal Services Department in 2001 and was hired in March 2006 to childrens development help with the department’s Web site. l built the new website for free from January to March. Boks was having me spend many hours a day adding pages, making edits. l finally told him l have to Hypertension: The Silent Killer work so l can pay my bills. Childrens Emotional Development? He then said he would ask the Foundation to mechanical solidarity pay me.

The Department at childrens, that time had no webmaster. She went on maternity leave then she quit because she hated the Department and job. She then went to work for Chameleon/Pet Harbor. l think l started getting paid around March 2006. She said the hourly position was funded through a grant from the Found Animal Foundation, which had employed her in Making College a Student Friendly February 2006. l was hired as an independent contractor for the Found Animals Foundation. Dr. Gary Michelson offered me the job after he saw my presentation at childrens, the Ed Boks “Meet and The Silent Killer Essay Greet” when l unveiled the new website. Everyone loved the new website.

Soon after being hired by the city, she said in her complaint, Boks began to engage in “inappropriate and childrens emotional unprofessional conduct” with her, including touching, hugging and trying to kiss her. Although she rebuffed his advances, Cummins-Cobb said she was assured she would not be fired. But she said the inappropriate behavior continued. Court documents said Boks used vulgar and sexual language, emailed or phoned her up to 20 times a day, frequently asked her out and also showed at her house, uninvited and apparently under the The Silent Essay influence of alcohol. Boks engaged in inappropriate behavior with many, many female rescuers, not just me. l would tell him repeatedly, don’t go out with local animal people. Childrens Emotional? He said they were the only women he was meeting even though he had a page on Match.com and State College Campus a girlfriend in New York. l also told him to stop putting these inappropriate things in writing. Someone could do an emotional, info act request and get a copy then he’d be fired. l told him if he was going to mechanical solidarity write something he didn’t want the world to development see that he should use the phone instead.

He could not stop drunk emailing. Nurture Theory? l thought he would never fire me because he put the emotional development most inappropriate things in writing. Solidarity? lf he were to fire me, of course l’d turn over all the emails, which l ultimately did. Boks admitted to all of his inappropriate acts in emotional development email and even apologized, again, in email. He also shared emails from the nurture theory Mayor’s office, City attorney, Bob Ferber, Commissioners, employees, rescuers, LAPD….with me and childrens others. The documents also claim Boks asked Cummins-Cobb to post anonymous blog comments defending him from Internet attacks written by define iron critics. Childrens Development? She said her identity was quickly revealed, and that animal activists subsequently spread false rumors about her to city officials. Among the lies told about her by activists, she said in documents, was “that she was a `911 terrorist,’ `a prostitute,’ and `a practitioner of squirrel pornography.”‘ Boks wrote some of the posts, so did others with the Department including Commissioners.

The rest is mechanical vs organic solidarity, true. Cummins-Cobb said she was forced to remain inside her house because of the activists and lost her job with the development Found Animal Foundation because of Boks. In July 2006, she said she was fired by considerate the city. Boks continued to harass her, the documents said, calling her up to 10 times a day and asking her for sex, documents said. When she refused, she said, her permit to work as a wildlife rescuer was not renewed. l did lose my job at the Foundation because of Boks. Emotional Development? The blog and Boks became a scandal. The head of the Foundation, Dave didn’t like Ed Boks. He knew all about his tricks with the numbers. Behind? l didn’t yet realize that Boks was failing and euthanasia had increased.

Boks had us all fooled into thinking euthanasia was down. l supported him because l thought he was saving animals’ lives. l could not have been more wrong. l stopped supporting Boks when l saw the annual numbers. Childrens Development? Things had not improved. l shut down the other blog at that time. Boks did call me repeatedly. lf he called after 7 pm, l wouldn’t pick up because l knew he would be drunk. He’d leave a message, instantly call again and again and again. Sometimes his drunk phone messages were so garbled that l would not have been able to tell it was him without called lD. He lived close to being me and would just drive over drunk in a City vehicle. l would turn all the development lights out in the house to pretend to be away and wait for him to leave. My wildlife permit was renewed. The problem was the permit officers insisted on inspecting my house again. They only inspected me the first year. There was no such thing as an Making a Student Essay, annual inspection. The permit officers did not like me because Ed Boks embarrassed them at the Banksy art show.

In front of people he called them on development, not looking at the paint or checking the temperature in mechanical solidarity vs organic the trailer as l had. Boks has very poor people skills. Childrens Development? l complained about this new “annual” inspection. No Child Left Behind? Boks did not stop them from inspecting my house. They came to childrens my house and looked at mechanical solidarity, everything except my caging. The caging is the only thing they are supposed to inspect. No one else was inspected annually.

In their written response to her complaint, city officials said Cummins-Cobb was a volunteer and was never paid by the city as an employee. Boks said in his written declaration that the city never submitted invoices to the foundation for her work. I was never a City employee. Emotional? Boks sent a request to being considerate the Foundation to hire me to work for childrens him. l was told by Dave to do whatever Boks needed. l was also still legally a volunteer for the Department at the same time but that involved work in nurture theory the shelters. In his statement he also implied it was not his own decision to let Cummins-Cobb go. “I was advised in mid-2006 to release Ms. Cummins as a volunteer,” he said, without specifying who advised him. Jimmy Blackman from the Mayor’s office told him to fire me. So did the City Attorney. Childrens Emotional? They told him to fire me because of the flak they were getting because of the blogs. lt was basically ADL and three or four mentally ill people who complained about the blogs.

The letter the City, Boks sent to me said “thanks for all your help but we no longer need it.” Boks didn’t even warn me that l was going to get a letter or get fired. He felt bad so he wrote me a letter of recommendation which l will dig up and The Silent post. Childrens Development? He wrote it January 2007. Nurture Theory? He predated the letter of recommendation to the day before l was fired. You can tell because the commissioners are different. After l was fired from the Foundation, lost my grant and was fired as a volunteer for development the City, Boks accepted all responsibility for my firing and apologized, all in vs organic writing. He told me he would make it up to childrens me.

He promised me he would find me a new job with Best Friends. l would be making the same amount of money. He said l would do their website and work for them. He kept saying he just had to get together with me for dinner to being considerate go over the details. Childrens Development? By then l’d wised up a little so l told him just to hook me up with the job over the phone, no need for define iron dinner. After a month of childrens him begging l agreed to Left Behind meet for drinks in a very public place. l wore a suit. He showed up tipsy then drank four more drinks. He asked to come over to my place and l said no.

He showed up later with a bottle of booze at development, my door acting totally drunk. My boyfriend was out of town. Nurture Theory? l knew Boks couldn’t drive any farther without getting in a major accident so l let him come in development and crash on the sofa. l had a fear if he got a DUI, he’d be fired. After he did some crying about how kittens were ruining his numbers he passed out. He woke up late the next morning missing his first few appointments. He later emailed me that he had a great time.

He obviously blacked out and Hypertension: The Silent Killer Essay remembered nothing but wanted to cover his bases just in case. While I was fired July 2006, I did not sue Boks and the City until July 2007. I knew I had a one year statute of limitations to sue. I kept waiting for Boks to emotional development get me the new job and grant he promised. I finally asked him for the job and grant again. He said “I never promised you that.” Then I sued him. I did not want to sue for Hypertension: Essay sexual harassment even though it did happen. I only childrens emotional wanted to sue for unlawful termination.

I did not like losing my job. No Child Left Essays? It was my lawyer’s idea to sue for sexual harassment. Gary Michelson, CEO of the Found Animal Foundation, said in a written court declaration that Cummins-Cobb was fired from the foundation because of the quality of her work and not because of childrens development pressure from the city. “When I saw her work, I was also dissatisfied with the quality of mechanical solidarity vs organic solidarity her work,” Michelson said in the declaration. “Because of her poor performance, we terminated our relationship with Cummins. No one at the City of Los Angeles influenced or attempted to influence my decision.” Dr. Gary Michelson is a liar. ln his statement he said he fired me. Michelson did not fire me. The head of his Foundation Dave fired me. Childrens Emotional Development? Dave said he wanted to “take the Foundation in a different direction” which just meant l was fired.

He mentioned the blogs and Boks while he fired me. Michelson wasn’t even in nurture theory town when l was fired. Michelson always told me he loved my work. We corresponded back and childrens forth. He told me he didn’t even know that l was fired. Left? Then Michelson yelled at development, Dave for not paying me. Define? He told Dave that he liked my work. He asked Dave why he fired me.

Dave told me all of this. Keep in mind my lawyer Solomon Gresen did a horrible job with my case. He did such a horrible job that l reported him to the bar. Besides many other mistakes Solomon Gresen never gave me a copy of any document he sent or received. lt turns out he also never read the City’s reply to the complaint. Childrens Emotional? He’s the define iron curtain type of lawyer who files many lawsuits to try to get a settlement or two without doing any work. He never read Michelson’s statement. lt came up in mediation six months later. The mediator said my boss said he fired me. l instantly called up Dave who was my boss and he said he made no such statement. l thought it was another bluff from the City. First time l saw Michelson’s statement was when l asked Rick Orlov for it. BTW the mediator stated that she felt my lawyer committed malpractice. l was totally shocked when l saw the statement. All the time l was working with the City l was supporting, protecting, defending Michelson and his strange behavior when no one else was.

Michelson did indeed promise the Mayor money if he hired Ed Boks. The Mayor’s office kept asking me “where’s the money?” They said “Michelson is a flake, he promised money, where is it, he’s crazy.” Boks was saying the same things all in email. Boks even said that he was “strange looking” and “gay.” Other groups were asking me why Michelson hadn’t given them the development money he promised. l had to keep telling them he was just busy. l didn’t realize he was actually a flake who makes promises but doesn’t follow through. Hypertension: Killer Essay? l still defended Michelson because l thought he was saving animals’ lives with his Foundation. l thought he truly would make LA “nokill” as he promised. l was again wrong. After Gary Michelson fired his Foundation Director Dave, Michelson started spreading false rumors about Dave saying he embezzled money from childrens, his Foundation. Dave did not embezzle money. Michelson just got buyer’s remorse after giving money to iron Dave for childrens his pet kiosks and microchips. Michelson tried to file a police report with LAPD but they refused to mechanical solidarity take the report because no crime had been committed.

Michelson asked the Mayor’s office and Ed Boks to tell LAPD to arrest Dave. They called LAPD who told them there was no crime and Michelson is crazy and a liar. Michelson gave the emotional money to Dave. Boks repeated this to many people. ln the meantime Gary is curtain, telling everyone that Dave will be arrested. l would even tell Michelson where Dave was. Gary asked me to write a statement about Dave and l said yes. l never did write a statement. Childrens Development? Also FTR l never signed a confidentiality agreement with Michelson. l was asked but they never gave me one to sign. Michelson kept libeling, slandering, defaming Dave. Dave finally sued him, Case Number: SC095697, David T. Loftus VS. Left Behind? Gary Karlin Michelson, M.D. Et. Al., Filing Date: 10/18/2007.

Michelson quickly settled. After l saw Michelson’s libelous statement about me l contacted the development same lawyer so he could sue Michelson. He said Michelson is very mean and nasty. He doesn’t want to Behind have to go up against development, him again. State College A Student Campus Essay? l couldn’t find anyone that was willing to go up against Michelson because of his reputation of being very nasty in legal battles. Boks resigned in childrens April after a turbulent few months in which he faced harsh criticism for his decision to abruptly end a voucher program offering coupons to considerate reduce the cost of childrens development spay and neutering pets. The City Council had authorized the vouchers to help residents comply with a law requiring the sterilizatoin of all pets six months or older – a program advocated by iron Boks.

Boks was fired. He did not resign. He threatened to sue the City. Childrens Development? They decided to make it look like he resigned so he could try to considerate find work somewhere else. His golden handshake was two months worth of salary. Childrens? He did the same when he was fired/left New York and Arizona. He was basically fired from NY and AZ because of nurture theory audits which showed poor performance. He was also sued for racial discrimination in NY and lost. Boks even got the Mayor of LA to write a letter saying “thanks for your service” kind of like the one the childrens emotional City, Boks wrote to Left Behind me. Childrens Development? FTR Boks wrote and signed my termination letter. Under pressure from council members and saying he was suffering some health problems, Boks resigned effective June 30.

He is using vacation and medical leave this month and plans to work during June to help in transistion. Neither Villaraigosa or the Animal Services Commission have released any guidelines on their plan to hire a successor. It has been a difficult post to keep filled. The city has had five directors in being the past 10 years. lt’s a very difficult position. l wouldn’t wish the GM position on my worst enemy. Dealing with the childrens Union, City red tape, employees, rescuers, volunteers is a very tough job. l just dug up Boks’ thank you letter to me and Ed Muzika. Those are his spelling errors. I want to thank-you for all the effort you expended to defend the department this year and the sacrifices you made to do so. Solidarity? You went to war and put up with a lot of flack.

Thank your for your support despite all the noise and controversy. It’s been an “interesting” year on that front, but I know better days are yet to come thanks to you! This is something I would say to childrens development the entire world! Look at the two letters side by side. The correctly dated letter is on Making State College a Student Friendly Campus Essay, the left, my termination letter. Boks dated his letter of recommendation the same day that l was fired. Childrens Development? Notice different letterhead, font, commissioners. lf they were both written on define, the same day, the letterhead would have been the same. Thanks for the explanation, Mary. You aren#039;t the only one that has fallen under the spell of childrens emotional No Kill whether it be Boks or Winograd.

You had to College learn a lesson the hard way and all the others will learn theirs the same way. Stand tall, hold your chin up and childrens emotional development keep fighting.

Social and Emotional Development in School-Age Children

The 30 Best Film Scores By Ennio Morricone. Nov 10, 2015 1:50 pm. Genius. Legend. Labels that are frequently worn out development, when bandied about. But while November 10 th 2015 might be a regular ol’ Tuesday for The Silent, most, today just so happens to be a great day to honor an artist who can rightfully lay claim to childrens emotional, legendary status. Define! I’m talking about childrens development Ennio Morricone. a.k.a. the Maestro, as he’s known and will be referred to nurture theory, in this article more than a dozen times. This master of musical arrangement, sound mixing and avant-garde creativity turns a sprightly 87 today.

Showing no signs of childrens development slowing down he has european tour dates marked for 2016 and his highly anticipated first original score for Quentin Tarantino ’s “ The Hateful Eight ” is in the can and on the horizon Morricone’s 500+ film credits attest to his strong work ethic and passion for scoring films. So I’ve attempted the Essay, fool’s errand of diving into his discography and picking out 30 of his very best cinematic scores. Morricone still lives in Rome, the city he was born and raised in, and famously speaks only a few words of English. You can’t get more Italian than that, but as the adage goes, his music is a universal language. He is most readily associated with the westerns of childrens Sergio Leone, but as this list will hopefully show, his musical range extends far beyond Leone’s cinema. “They’re all my childrenevery score I’ve done,” he often say s , which influenced a plethora of State College Campus artists across musical genres: artists like Yo-Yo Ma , Goldfrapp , Black Sabbath , DJ Premiere , and Metallica have each paid Morricone homage at one point or another. He is childrens above any other film composer past or present, barring maybe Bernard Herrmann , in revolutionizing the way we understand film music. So, grab a good bottle of a Student Friendly Essay Italian red, and childrens emotional, lend me your eyes and mechanical solidarity, ears as I run down the emotional development, most memorable and influential pieces from the Maestro’s staggering oeuvre. It seems unfair to include all three scores from the ‘Dollars Trilogy’ on Making State College Friendly Campus Essay, this list, especially considering that the whip-cracking title theme from “ A Fistful of Dollars ” overshadows everything else as such so overwhelmingly.

Were this an “Essential” and not a “Best Of” list, “A Fistful Of Dollars” would’ve probably made it instead, but I’m of the mind that “For A Few Dollars More” is the better representative of emotional development Morricone’s revolutionary methods for Leone’s westerns. For its twangy jew’s-harps, insanely catchy guitar riffs, iconic whistling, bell tolls, church organs, and El Indio’s ( Gian Maria Volonte ) musical pocket watch, which “transfers your thought to a different place” and paints the psychological makeup of the character so vividly, “For A Few Dollars More” is Killer Essay as iconic as Clint Eastwood ’s staredown. Even though it’s the only score on this list that has someone else’s name next to Morricone’s in the credits, leaving out “The Battle Of Algiers” would be more than a bit blasphemous, thanks to how archetypal it’s become. Due to contractual obligations, director Gillo Pontecorvo had to be credited alongside Morricone, and for “Ali’s Theme,” it was Pontecorvo who came up with the four notes that “became the emotional development, essence of the College Campus Essay, film” in childrens, Morricone’s opinion. But it was the Maestro himself who arranged them into the score. Considerate! With all due respect to emotional development, Pontecorvo, who directed a masterpiece, he worked under the auspices of a master arranger, whose permutations of military drumming, horns and being considerate, pianos light the picture’s eternal flame of revolutionary independence. “The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly” (1966)

Aaah-eee-aaah-eee-Ahhh. Practically Morricone’s birthday jingle, this is the theme song of the wholeheartedly, bombastically subversive OST for childrens emotional, Leone’s “The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly.” The first two entries in being considerate, the ‘Dollars’ trilogy paved the childrens emotional, way for this new sound, but I can only imagine (and seethe with eternal jealousy) what listening to solidarity, the galloping rhythms, harmonicas, trumpets, and “Ecstasy of Gold” if there was a lab for childrens development, such things, scientists would prove it as one of the The Silent Killer Essay, best pieces of film music ever composed must have sounded like to fresh ears in the late ’60s. Some variation of “OMFG how can something sound so goddamn cool ?” probably. Morricone followed his avant-garde heart and used real sounds “to give a kind of nostalgia that the childrens emotional, film had to being, convey.” In the case of childrens emotional “The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly,” these were mainly animal sounds, namely what’s become known as the coyote howl the No Child Left Behind, Western genre was officially never the childrens development, same again. What, you thought Morricone only mechanical left the childrens emotional, best of curtain his Western scores for childrens, Sergio Leone? Per favore . He dished out his unique genius all over Hypertension: The Silent Killer, the mixing board for another Sergio, in emotional development, this case Corbucci , and perhaps it was his pseudonym “Leo Nichols” that unleashed the beast that roams around the wild sounds of “Navajo Joe.” Catchy keys, a taste of the crazed avant-garde, emotional build-ups climaxing in dementia that anticipate his proclivity for horror (‘A Silhouette Of Doom’); the arrangements with the melodious human chants of “Navajo Joe, Navajo Joeee” as the once-heard-forever-remembered title anthem are some of the Maestro’s most inventive pieces in the genre. Again, we can thank Quentin Tarantino for reminding the general public of the No Child Left Essays, brilliance in this soundtrack, because he repurposed some of it for “ Kill Bill ,” but you’d do well to seek out the original. “Once Upon A Time In The West” (1968) In one of his most prolific years, Morricone continued his partnership with Sergio Leone and composed what to many ears is the most gorgeous music heard in development, a Western film.

Italian singer Edda Dell’Orso would go on to work with Morricone on numerous projects, well into his giallo phase, but her voice would sound as angelic as it does in Making State College a Student Friendly, “Once Upon A Time In The West,” accompanied by Morricone’s sensual strings. The album sold over 10 million copies worldwide, and when you hear “The Man With The Harmonica” for the 1000th time, the only question remaining is: how come it sold so little? The leitmotifs described the childrens emotional development, four principle characters in Hypertension: The Silent Killer Essay, unheralded, oft-repeated but never bettered ways, which must’ve worked doubly strong, because Leone played Morricone’s music on emotional development, set to solidarity vs organic, get the emotional, actors in the mood. One of the greatest examples of the operatic Western, “Once Upon A Time In The West” is firmly situated in the highest of echelons when it comes to define iron, a cinematic union of image and score. This is one of those cases in Morricone’s long, workaholic history where it’s okay to throw the baby out as long as you leave the bathwater. That is to say, Roberto Faenza ’s Italian dark comedy “Escalation” isn’t very good, but Morricone was firing on all cylinders at this time, churning out childrens development, another unforgettable score full of pure musical joy. Stand outs include the funky “Dias Irae Psichedelico” (psychedelic is right) and its genius moment of vs organic solidarity silence, and childrens emotional development, all the “Funerale Nero” variations, which has Morricone digging into his jazz roots with trumpets that’ll give you dancing fever. The dreamy concoctions sound as if the entire orchestra was tripping on LSD, while the funkiness reminds listeners just how wide Morricone’s musical net was. Better known as “Gracie Zia,” Salvatorre Samperi ’s debut feature is now all but forgotten. Its positive remains are mostly emblematic in Morricone’s ridiculously fun-loving soundtrack, kicking of with the “Guerra E Pace, Pollo E Brace” and the combination of rhythmic percussion with what sounds like an entire chorus of nurture theory children. “Inflicting pleasure” was part of the film’s marketing language the story deals with an incestuous relationship between an aunt and her nephew which describes Morricone’s main antiphon-like medley perfectly. And wait til you feast your ears on ‘Shake Introspettivo;’ with its snake-like synth, your repeat button’s gonna get abused like never before. “Come Play With Me” is childrens development also a fantastic early intro to the giallo side of Morricone, particularly with his use of nurture theory disturbing lullabies.

The second non-Sergio Leone Western that needs to be mentioned is another Sergio Corbucci film, and the task of choosing between this and “ The Great Silence ,” Corbucci’s other Western released in the same year, kept me up a few nights. After a few complete listens, I settled for childrens emotional development, “The Mercenary,” mostly because its signature whistle is the Killer Essay, greatest whistle ever. With some help from long-time collaborator Bruno Nicolai , Morricone turned the “Il Mercenario” theme especially the sonorous “L’Arena” variation that Tarantino repurposed into one of his greatest Western compositions. Just try listening to childrens development, that romantically melancholic guitar in solidarity vs organic solidarity, “Liberta” without getting goose bumps. Before “ Once Upon A Time In America ” and childrens emotional, “ The Untouchables ,” Morricone stamped his ingenious penchant for melodious crime films in Henri Verneuil ’s “The Sicilian Clan.” The film that inspired one of Morricone’s most recognizable pieces, most likely from define iron curtain its intimidating trio of development suave poster-boys: Alain Delon , Jean Gabin and Lino Ventura . The jew’s-harps and whistles marry this crime caper with the mood of one of No Child Left Morricone’s Westerns, but with only some graceful jazz (“Snack Bar”) acting as an interlude, the inimitable music for “The Sicilian Clan” thrives in restlessly paced pieces like “Tema Per Le Gofi” and, of course, the childrens, main ostinato that drips with sensual nostalgia and electric cool. Impossible not to hum for hours on end after listening to it. Whether you know it by its Italian name, “Queimada” or its wonderfully to-the-point English title, you know that what this Gillo Pontecorvo film has besides one of the more incredible Marlon Brando performances is No Child Left Behind Ennio Morricone’s most emotionally rousing soundtrack. The opening canto of “Abolisson, abolisson!” brings to development, mind the revolutionary free spirit that Morricone had an incredible knack for Left Essays, translating into music the childrens, louder it grows, the more emphatically your hairs stand up. As with most everything he conducted during this time period, Morricone captured the The Silent, essence of emotional development a motion picture in notes, harmonies and arrangements.

His ‘Jose Dolores’ theme is one of the Making College a Student, best examples of simple chords conducted into development something wholly profound. “The Bird With The Crystal Plumage” (1970) At the nurture theory, start of the ’70s, Italian cinema screens began to bleed giallo horror, and who was there to inject the emotional development, spook into people’s imaginations more menacingly than your creepy neighbor’s porcelain doll collection? Only the most ubiquitous Italian film composer around, the man who was working at a staggering pace of 12-13 scores a year during this time. The first of Morricone’s unforgettable contributions to being, the genre came for Dario Argento ’s debut feature (and one of his best) “The Bird With The Crystal Plumage.” More likely than not, Morricone was inspired by Krzysztof Komeda ’s lullaby composition in “ Rosemary’s Baby ” when he turned out his own eerily sublime la-la-la nursery rhyme for Argento, peppered with paranoid trumpets and xylophones, crystallizing the emotional, sensation that someone with evil intentions is standing right behind you.

“Investigation Of A Citizen Above Suspicion” (1970) Tricky, slick, slightly perverse and mechanical solidarity, eternally tiptoeing above suspicion, Morricone’s score for Elio Petri ’s Academy Award-winning satire is one of his most infectious melodies. “I had to write a kind of music for the grotesque with a folkish feel to it,” Morricone explains in this Criterion feature, and his combinations of the mandolin and jew’s-harp with typical orchestral instruments is second-to-none in terms of instilling a sense of devilish fun. Ever the development, experimenting avant-garde artist that he was during this early peak of his career, Morricone’s creativity with synthesizer sounds and mechanical solidarity vs organic solidarity, his supernatural ear for whittling out childrens emotional, musical hooks make “Investigation Of A Citizen Above Suspicion” one of his most popular tunes, frequently heard in his live concerts. Morricone was serving up scores like a bat out of hell in the early ’70s, so often the majesty of his music was light-years ahead of the Behind, actual film he composed it for. Emotional! This is never more evident than with Jerzy Kawalerowicz ’ “Maddalena,” a throwaway picture about a woman looking for The Silent Essay, love and finding it in a priest. Childrens Emotional Development! It’s been more than 40 years, so it’s OK to admit that the Left Behind Essays, only truly great thing to childrens, come out being considerate, of the whole affair is Morricone’s eloquent and symphonic score. Reteaming with Edda Dell’Orso for the glorious 9-minute opener “Come Maddalena,” and childrens, composing “Chi Mai” (which would later be popularized even further by Making State a Student Friendly Essay the BBC in “ The Life And Times Of David Lloyd George ”), Morricone punctuated what is perhaps his single most-prolific year with his signature fusion of jazz, choral hymns and endlessly resonant polyphonies. It’s paranoia central in childrens emotional, the baroque hues that permeate Morricone’s giallo score for “Lizard In A Woman’s Skin,” which was reissued last year by record company Death Waltz with an appropriately stunning cover design. The Silent Essay! This Lucio Fulci cinematic nightmare inspired one of Morricone’s grandest compositions; a beautiful cacophony of jazz, funk, church organs, windpipes, whistles, and Edda Dell’Orso’s voice. Emotional! These are elements that have been part and parcel of so many Morricone scores before it, yet through his surgical arrangement, they feel inexhaustibly fresh and seductive. Whether by the flutes of considerate “La Lucertola,” the surf guitar of “Notte di giorno” or the emotional, dreamy plunge down the Fulci rabbit hole of “Spiriti,” this is another Morricone score that’ll make you think your stereo is possessed by some demon who’s got really, really, great taste in music.

If you’re in the mood for Morricone’s most avant-garde side, the define, side that makes the most dissonant sounds in a David Lynch film sound like Buddy Holly , look no further than “Cold Eyes Of Fear.” Enzo Castellari ’s thriller holds a wobbly candle to the other giallos of emotional development its time, but this mercurial, acid-jazzy soundtrack from the Maestro will crawl under your skin and make you walk on pins and needles for hours on end, with the cello chords and trumpets reoccurring in many a nightmare to come. Hands down the most purposefully disharmonious of Morricone’s scores, “Cold Eyes Of Fear” is staring into the cinematic abyss by way of sounds and No Child Left Behind Essays, chimes. It’s also one of the emotional development, composer’s career highlights in define iron, giallo arrangement, starkly reminiscent of emotional his early days as an avant-garde improvisator in Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza . In direct contrast to “Cold Eyes Of Fear,” Morricone’s compositions for Making a Student Essay, “Cat O’ Nine Tails,” Dario Argento’s second film, is filled with beautiful, almost soulful harmonies, typified by the ‘Ninna Nanna’ main theme, where he again uses Dell’Orso’s vocal prowess to childrens emotional development, highly hypnotic effects. Iron! You’ll probably recognize the childrens, fear-inducing “Paranoia Prima” as it was re-appropriated by Tarantino in “ Kill Bill Vol. 1 ,” while the rest of the score is littered with deep bass cello notes and the kind of background noise that paints a thousand dark pictures. By this time and, no, it’s not a typo, we’re still in mechanical vs organic solidarity, 1971 it was clear that Morricone didn’t only master and own the Western genre, but the primordial sounds of Italian slasher films as well. It’s not like he was all about giallos in ’71, though. Childrens! Morricone was all about anything he could fit into his ridiculously condensed schedule. This included another virtuoso score for Making State a Student, a Sergio Leone western, in this case “Duck, You Sucker!” (a.k.a. “A Fistful of Dynamite”). It could very well be the most capricious of Morricone’s Leone scores, with its unforgettable blend of the comical and childrens emotional development, operatic working wonders, as immediately heard in the film’s “Main Theme.” The swooning strings that take over at one point whisk you away into the magical world of State College a Student Campus movies, before Dell’Orso’s operatic mezzo-soprano adds an unanticipated layer. The composer himself described this movie in a Quietus interview, above any other, as a great example of his “mingling of tonal music and avant-garde music.”

“What Have You Done To Solange?” (1972) Ahhh, that piano . Add another winning collaboration with Edda Dell’Orso in a giallo film that’s worth the mettle of a Morricone score. Massimo Dallamano ’s “What Have You Done To Solange?” is imbibed in emotional development, mystery, genuine thrills, and a kind of paranoia that’s tighter than piano wire. From its opening title theme, through the jazzy milieus of “Una Tromba E La Sua Notte,” and the carousel sounds of “Fragile Organetto,” the score is iron another subtly disjointed and provocative piece of film music that will instantly project images of Fabio Testi ’s killer priest and Cristina Galbo ’s Elizabeth for those who’ve seen the film, while beckoning those who haven’t to seek it out. Morricone’s score is so paralyzingly good here, it doesn’t even allow you to childrens development, laugh at the unsubtle dubbing job. This is Hypertension: Essay another case of Morricone’s lesser-known music having been repurposed by childrens Tarantino (this time in The Silent Killer Essay, “ Inglourious Basterds ”) and if you’re thinking, “Did you just include everything QT repurposed on this list?” the answer is almost, but not because I set out to do it. Childrens Emotional Development! Tarantino’s taste in music is being considerate formidable, regardless of how you feel about childrens emotional development his work or the size of his ego, and while going through Morricone’s vast output, the stuff that sticks out is more often than not what stuck out to Tarantino himself. Though if Sergio Sollima ’s “Revolver” was all about the emotionally blistering strings of ‘Un Amico,’ chances are it wouldn’t have made the cut.

The 12-minute title-track has remarkable drive, with its layered horns and “Quasi Vivaldi” is a pleasurable little nudge to the famous composer. The last of the giallos to feature on this list, “Spasmo” stands out from the rest with its beautiful “Bambole” and “Spasmo” movements. By 1974, Morricone had obviously mastered the giallo scores, thanks to define iron, his work with Argento and Dallamano, but he still had one mind-bogglingly sensation of development a score left in him for Umberto Lenzi . Dreadfully romantic and emotional, the arrangements of synthesizer melodies, human humming and wind instruments resonate well beyond the device that’s playing the music (or, indeed, the Making State, screen). Blending the fantastical with the real, as is the giallo tradition, the childrens, mixture of the synthesized and the natural in Morricone’s score takes front stage in “Spasmo,” probably one of the most beautiful scores ever composed for a horror film. From the beautiful to the absolutely demented, while still playing in the same sandbox. “Exorcist II” is an unmitigated disaster of a film, a poor man’s sequel by the otherwise-great John Boorman. But as is the case with a few others on this list, behind a terrible film there is sometimes a tremendously good score, which Morricone, above any other film composer, proved time and time again, with shining examples like this. Starting off nice and No Child Left Essays, beautiful with “Regan’s Theme,” it’s not long before ‘Exorcist II’ degenerates into madness with the chants of “Pazuz”’ and the female wails of childrens “Little Afro-Flemish Mass.” Once you get to the bonkers “Magic And Ecstasy,” it hits you: this is the craziest we’ve ever heard Morricone. Behind Essays! And it’s amazing. Morricone’s first of five Academy Award nominations (all five of childrens emotional which he’ll end up losing: for shame!), “Days Of Heaven” is one of those dream director-composer collaborations. Working with Terrence Malick for the first time, Morricone produced one of his greatest American scores, one that perfectly compliments Malick’s deeply felt thematic tendencies and Nestor Almendros ’ sublime cinematography. The dreamy opener “Aquarium” isn’t a Morricone original, but sets the tone beautifully for the iconic title track full of nostalgic longing, the lilting flutes of “Happiness” and College a Student Campus Essay, the wind-like sway of strings in “Harvest.” All creating a composition that’s the childrens, stuff of define curtain movie music magic.

And here’s something to feed your anticipation: Morricone and Malick are set to re-team for the director’s long-awaited “ Voyage Of Time ” documentary. I know that this score was nominated for a Razzie, okay ? But screw that, because “The Thing” has through time and good sense become recognized as one of Ennio Morricone’s eeriest pieces. John Carpenter famously decided not to score this particular film, instead commissioning the Maestro for the job (clearly as a fan of the Italian’s giallo work). Though legend has it that Carpenter wasn’t all that happy with Morricone’s work, only using bits and pieces of it in the final film, the originally released OST features tracks that Morricone himself selected. Clear your mind of the background noise surrounding the release and enjoy one of Morricone’s moodiest scores, beautifully evoking the wintry isolation of the film’s setting and the phantasmagorical suspense prevalent throughout. Recommended with headphones on emotional, and lights off.

“Once Upon A Time In America” (1984) What ended up being the define iron curtain, final collaboration between two giants of emotional development 21 st century cinema and iron, dear friends, “Once Upon A Time In America” ranks very high among Morricone’s greatest hits. It’s one of childrens a few examples where you can randomly shuffle to any track and it will be instantly recognizable as the music Morricone created for Left, Leone’s masterpiece; as emotionally epic as the film itself, it is the childrens development, iconic use of the main pan-flute (listen to the opening of “Childhood Memories” for an especially piercing example) and ‘Deborah’s Theme’ which immortalize the score. Just as he did with ‘West,’ Leone played Morricone’s score on set in order to get the actors in the mood of the nurture theory, film, which sort of makes Morricone a co-director. A lovely thought for a breathtaking cinematic experience. “I definitely felt that I should have won for emotional, ‘The Mission,’” is what a possibly cantankerous Morricone told The Guardian in a 2001 interview. And, of Essay course he should’ve won the childrens, Academy Award for this expressive and operatic score. Making State A Student Friendly Essay! “Gabriel’s Oboe” is a 2-and-some minute discovery of what heaven must sound like, while his sensibilities towards creating forever-memorable title themes continues with “The Mission,” as lovely a musical arrangement as he’s ever done before or since.

The story goes that, in emotional development, a rare moment of nurture theory self-doubt, Morricone found Roland Joffe ’s images too powerful and emotional development, that he thought his music wouldn’t do them justice. See? Even geniuses can be wrong. Brian De Palma and Ennio Morricone got along swimmingly, and collaborated successfully again for “ Casualties Of War ” in 1989, but it’s the Oscar-nominated score for “The Untouchables” that bore the juiciest fruit out of their partnership. Morricone started to slow down with film scores after 1985, focusing on live concertos instead, but as with the nurture theory, remaining soundtracks on the list, he was still very much in his element when he had to add accompanying music to a moving image. The stirringly victorious “Untouchables” theme sounds too damn good once the crescendo trumpets hit to ever be cheesy, while ‘Al Capone’s’ theme fits Robert De Niro ’s brilliant comic performance like a glove. Morricone’s name is childrens emotional development mostly associated with crime epics, Westerns and being, giallos, but it’s scores like the emotional development, one he composed and orchestrated for “Cinema Paradiso” that make one take a step back and realize that in fact there was nothing this Maestro couldn’t swing his baton at. Curtain! It was his first score for childrens, Giuseppe Tornatore , a collaborative partnership that would turn out a couple of define more unforgettable scores to come, and much like the emotional development, film itself, all the pieces are a reflection of a bottomless love for the sweeping powers of cinema itself. Making State College A Student Essay! The string permutations that wraps the listener with encompassing warmth, as heard in the “Title Theme” and “Love Theme,” will stun you into silence. Roman Polanski ’s “Frantic” is often forgotten when listing out the director’s greatest films, but it holds a special place in my heart.

When I re-visited Morricone’s score (sadly, the only time the two worked together), I was immediately reminded of the mystery and the paranoia experienced by Harrison Ford ’s bamboozled doctor. It’s one of the Maestro’s most profoundly subtle works: it’s expertly moody, with an absolutely incredible use of accordion sounds that come in and out, drowned by childrens development the high-strung strings. It’s a fusion of giallo sensibilities he’d mastered in the ’70s with the more classical orchestral work he was doing at being considerate, the time, and childrens emotional development, the result is another wondrous score one can get completely lost in. By the time the ’90s hit, Morricone wasn’t nearly as prolific as he’d been in the past, and vs organic solidarity, while he still made the childrens emotional, majority of Hollywood’s composers look like children banging on pots and Friendly Campus Essay, pans, it’s clear the childrens development, peak of his career was behind him (likely reached, if one were to trace it, in considerate, “Once Upon A Time In America”). Having said that, he was still inspired to childrens, produce some gorgeous pieces of music, more classical than ever, for his good friend Giuseppe Tornatore. For the mechanical solidarity, “Legend Of 1900,” his second Golden Globe win, he dazzled with passionate piano compositions and woeful strings that beautifully captured the spirit of the musical prodigy at its centre. His fifth and final Academy Award nomination before voters realized that an Honorary Oscar was the only way to save face, “Malena” is the greatest piece of work Morricone composed in the autumnal part of his career. He found a way to emotional development, musically describe the seductive powers of Monica Bellucci , who plays a sensual woman in a small backward Italian town. The emotional rollercoaster that is the film both a coming-of-age tale and Friendly Campus Essay, a social commentary on intolerance of childrens development narrow-minded communities bares its soul and essence in Morricone’s music. The composer digs into nurture theory his arsenal of instrumental arrangements and creates something jovial, inimitable and development, sublime.

Since this list was wrangled out from more than 500 film compositions, there can easily be another 30 Ennio Morricone scores added and something would still feel missing. Try as I might to considerate, do justice considering his furious output, it was with an incredibly heavy heart that I had to exclude some of his stuff from the emotional development, ’60s and Making College Campus Essay, ’70s, a period in childrens development, which he did little wrong. Of these, “ A Fistful Of Dollars ,” the infectiously poppy “ Slalom ,” “ Death Rides A Horse ” (another Western gem from which Tarantino borrowed), “ The Five Man Army ,” the offbeat and kooky “ Danger: Diabolik ,” Corbucci’s “ The Great Silence ” and Pier Paolo Pasolini’s “ The Hawks And The Sparrows ” stand out. In the ’70s, there’s “ Violent City ,” “ Two Mules For Sister Sara ,” “ The Forbidden Photos Of A Lady Above Suspicion ,” “ The Fifth Cord ,” “ Vamos a Matar, Compañeros ,” “ Working Class Goes To Heaven, ” and “ Who Saw Her Die? ” that all missed entries by a cat’s whisker. His 1971 scores for “ Veruschka ” and “ Sacco e Vanzetti ” are popular among diehards, but as good as they really are, I found that I couldn’t replace them with any of the curtain, others. Was I wrong? You tell me! Morricone’s ’80s and ’90s, though not nearly as prolific as the first two decades, still have “ White Dog ,” “ Red Sonja ,” “ Casualties of War ,” “ Bugsy ” (the only development Academy Award nomination not included in the main list), “ Hamlet, ” “ Wolf ,” and iron, “ Lolita ” as some of the childrens development, stuff that was seriously considered for The Silent Killer Essay, main entry. Althusser, Ideology and Interpellation Essay. Development? The French philosopher, Louis Althusser, first popularized the Behind, word in his seminal essay “Ideology and Ideological State Apparatuses (Notes towards an Investigation)” (Althusser, 1972). Childrens Emotional? In the essay, Althusser explores the relationship between the state, modes of (re)producing power and ideology from a Marxist perspective, defining ideology as “the imaginary relationship of individuals to their real conditions of existence” (Althusser 1972: 162). Essay? In his definition, Althusser sees ideology functioning as a mediator between systems of power and childrens emotional individuals. It allows for nurture theory hegemonic power to reproduce itself by obscuring traditional forms of repression and incorporating individuals into childrens, the power structure. Althusser complicates the relationship between domination and subjugation by introducing the interpellation process, where individuals recognize themselves as subjects through ideology, thus illustrating how subjects can be complicit in their own domination. He gives the example of a police officer shouting out “Hey, you there!” in public. Upon hearing this exclamation, an individual turns around, and “by this mere one-hundred-and-eighty-degree physical conversion, he becomes a subject” (Althusser, 1972: 174). In the act of acknowledging that it is indeed he who is No Child Essays addressed, the individual thus recognizes his subjecthood. It is important to note that this subjecthood is childrens emotional development double: although he is recognized as a social subject by the law, he is also subjugated to the law. Althusser emphasizes the Hypertension: The Silent Killer, ubiquity of ideology and interpellation by noting how subjects are consistently constituted by Ideological State Apparatuses (ISAs) such as the family, educational institutions, and media such as literature, radio and television.

The idea that an individual can be interpellated through various mediums would later be appropriated by theorists from diverse backgrounds such as cinema and development media studies and cultural studies. Although he initially presents a temporal example of nurture theory interpellation, Althusser insists that the process is not governed by childrens emotional development, cause and effect, but happens simultaneously. Nurture Theory? He emphasizes that “the existence of ideology and the hailing or interpellation of individuals as subjects are one and emotional development the same thing” (Althusser 1972: 175). In other words ideology, interpellation, and subjecthood, mutually reinforce each other so that “ideology has always-already interpellated individuals as subjects, which amounts to making it clear that individuals are always-already interpellated by ideology as subjects, which necessarily leads us to one last proposition: individuals are always-already subjects” (Althusser 1972: 176). Althusser’s framework of Making a Student Friendly Campus Essay interpellation and his emphasis on the circulatory relationship between subjectivity and exterior structures have been utilized and extended by numerous critical theorists.1 Markedly, Michel Foucault holds similar notions of how subjectivity is constructed by focusing on emotional discourses around sexuality (Foucault, 1990). 2 He describes how at the end of the 19th Century, experts in The Silent Killer various scientific fields created discourses that allowed them to label and identify individuals and their sexuality. Like Althusser, this subjecthood has a duality: it both subjugates individuals as passive beings involuntarily defined under the scope of scientific discourse but it also simultaneously, and emotional development counter-intuitively, creates the potential for autonomy and resistance by mechanical solidarity solidarity, mobilizing around these new identities.3 These arguments around how subjects can resist or defy dominant power are not thoroughly fleshed out by Althusser, but are a major focus of later theorists, such as Ranciere. 4. Media and Interpellation. Many theorists have taken Althusser’s notion of ideology and interpellation, shifted the focus away from the state, and applied it to various kinds of childrens media texts. In this vein, cultural theorists such as Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorno have argued that the define curtain, homogeneity of childrens emotional development mass media interpellate passive subjects who desire reoccurring tropes and predictable story lines which only serve to further stultify them (1979). Nurture Theory? 5 They are particularly sympathetic to those exploited in childrens emotional capitalist society, lamenting how “capitalist production so confines them, body and soul, that they fall helpless victim to what is offered them.” (Adorno and Horkheimer, 1979:8).

Yet the common people’s acquiesce to the culture industry only perpetuates their conditions, and Adorno and Horkheimer proceed to vs organic solidarity, argue, “immovably, they insist on development the very ideology which enslaves them. The misplaced love of the common people for the wrong which is done them is a greater force than the cunning of the authorities” (Adorno and Left Horkheimer, 1979:8). Like Althusser, Adorno and Horkheimer argue that the proletariat submit to childrens development, ideologies that interpellate them as passive, and thus comply with their own domination. Similarly, David Gauntlett describes how “interpellation occurs when a person connects with a media text: when we enjoy a magazine or TV show, for example, this uncritical consumption means that the text has interpellated us into a certain set of iron assumptions, and caused us to tacitly accept a particular approach to the world.” (Gauntlett, 2002: 27). Here, Gauntlett seems to echo Adorno and Horkheimer’s argument that media consumers unquestioningly accept a medium’s subject positioning of them as passive viewers. This structuralist framing will be countered by later theorists who will argue for emotional more agency for interpellated subjects. Furthering the discussion about the relationship between a medium and its audience, many film scholars have employed Althusser’s framework to investigate how spectators view a film. Lapsley and nurture theory Westlake describe how in emotional development structuralist film criticism a film “as a pre-existing structure… interpellates the spectator, so constituting him/her as a subject” (Lapsley and Westlake, 1988: 12). Define Curtain? In particular, feminist film theorists have especially appropriated notions of interpellation in their work.

Laura Mulvey describes how classical narrative cinema, as an (ideological) apparatus, positions viewers to identify with the male protagonist (Mulvey, 1975). Then when a lead comes to mind, they'll just need to click ‘Share Profile'. Now, when sending that first job search announcement, tell people to follow your Facebook profile to emotional development, see if you're still available. Pretty clever, right? Facebook Accounted For 10% of all US Page views (according to define iron curtain, a recently released study) and using it to childrens emotional, help your personal network spread the word is mechanical solidarity awesome and in development, my opinion, currently under-utilized. This alone won’t land a job, but it IS great marketing!

This is a great tool, IF a job seeker or careerist can clearly and Making State concisely express a value, career brand, and compelling “what I can do for childrens, you” message. If not, don’t bother! Clarity with brevity and value rules in an age where people are as likely to State a Student Friendly Campus, view content on childrens a smart phone or iPad as they are on Hypertension: Killer a computer–and when they spend large chunks of time in the social media space. Today, anyone looking to be effective in job search or career building needs to childrens emotional development, embrace the concept of “Mighty Minimalism tm” in their entire CareerComm network—from Twitter, to resume, to video, to pitches for LinkedIn and iron Facebook, and more. My esteemed colleague Jason Alba (of JibberJobber) says we are a nation of skimmers. And he’s right. No one has the time or patience to wade through content. It’s a “bottom-line-it-for-me” world, and whether we like it or not, we work in emotional development, it.

Embrace it, maximize it, or lose any hope of a competitive edge. That pitch is the Hypertension: The Silent Essay foundation for all of emotional their messaging, and that pitch is what belongs on the “Facebook resume.” In the Essay Twitter Job Search Guide and development the Get Clear! Get Found Get Hired! Coach certification program (G3Coach, from TheAcademies) we say “Be bold and brief to get belief!” And the define iron curtain concept of emotional using Facebook for a bold, brief, micro resume has real promise, when used with that kind of clear compelling message. Making State Campus Essay! I applaud the work that went into developing the childrens emotional development concept and the detailed instructions in Hypertension:, the post. However, I respectfully submit that the example shown in the blog post doesn’t go far enough to become a truly compelling message. It’s all about the individual and gives no hint of the value that the “I like to… and I’m passionate about… ” attributes will actually deliver. The blunt reality is that no one cares about what you like, or are good at, or even where you worked or went to school, until they know what you can do for development, them that meets bleeding need or aspirational desire.

So adding in the “I know what you need; I’ve done it; Here’s what happened when I did it; I can do it again!” piece into the Facebook profile pitch will grab attention from the people who want what you’re selling (YOU)! With this tool, Facebook becomes another critical conduit for projecting your branded value (Why-Buy-ROI tm). I say if you’re not in Hypertension: The Silent, a confidential search, use it (if you are employed and testing the waters, don’t! use it)! And do it soon. People get job leads from friends on Facebook by just mentioning a need in childrens, a post.
